Background info: I used to be someone who can barely fast to save my life. - prev. record : 58 hours. - on my first ever fast, i threw up (?) after 12ish hours. - i faint easily & frequently. - past 24h my hands usually start shaking, 0 energy & all-powerful existential dread

Why i did it : I was stuck in an EH/binge cycle all September. I gained & felt genuinely in pain from distending my stomach so much. I wanted to give my digestive organs a proper break. I also wanted to kick-start my weight loss again, to get back to my preferred weight (bmi 16)

My rules : - drink water every waking hour. - write down how i feel every waking hour. - i made one 75ml bottle of coffee (with cinnamon & 0kcal sweetener) to spread out accross the 3 days. - 13k steps per day. - sleep 10+ hours. - i barricaded the kitchen door. Ion play.

How this differed from my baseline : - my average is usually 20k steps. I usually consider 16k a minimum. - i normally eat an average of 2000 cal per day. - I'm used to going straight to the kitchen when I come home, to grab a fruit or make myself a latte.

°drew my ocs (i am cringe & i am free) °painted my nails °extended skincare and body care routine °called my mom & the other family members I love but don't talk to so often °posted clothes on Vinted °chilled in bed listening to ASMR or watching YT

My main takeaway : I was able to hit proper ketosis! I felt great!! Sharp minded, stable, calm. That was thanks to not drinking any 0kcal beverages / energy drinks apart from the small amounts of homemade coffee i planned. If you have a trouble fasting, try cutting them out!

Other takeaways : - Urges to eat are much easier to control than i previously thought. Writing them down is a truly powerful tool! - Fasting is unfortunately quite lonely. Can't really spend time with anyone irl, so you have to plan accordingly.

    - Systems > discipline. If i hadn't pushed a desk in front of the kitchen door, made sure i was out of the house as much as possible, stocked up on things to do, prepared coffee in case of emergency, it would have been much more difficult.

    - i felt noticeably worse on day 3. Unable to do anything, nauseous, needing to sit down from just standing up. I still dragged myself through the 13k steps i promised but almost threw up and fainted multiple times. I'll respect my body next time and stick to 40-50h fasts.

Results : I wasn't expecting to see a difference, but I kinda do! I don't own a scale so i can't put a definite number to it. I'm definitely going to fast again soon!
