1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of ThreadOut ("the service", "we", "us"). By unrolling a thread or reading unrolled pages, you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that company.

2. The service

ThreadOut lets you paste a link to a publicly available X/Twitter thread and read it as a single page. Some popular threads additionally get an AI-generated summary. The service is free and requires no account.

Unrolled pages are public: any page created from a submitted link may appear on the homepage and be reachable by anyone with its URL.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to harass, stalk, or harm any person, or to violate any applicable law, including data protection and privacy laws.

You agree not to probe, overload, or disrupt the service, submit links in automated bulk, resell access to it, or misrepresent unrolled pages as being endorsed by us or by X Corp.

4. Data sources and your responsibilities

Unrolled pages contain only publicly available data — the same tweets anyone can view on a public profile. We do not access private accounts, direct messages, or any data behind a login.

A page reflects the thread at the moment it was unrolled; the original may change or disappear afterwards. If you reuse content from an unrolled page, you are responsible for using it lawfully and for respecting the rights of its author.

5. Content ownership and removal

Tweets belong to their authors. We display them with attribution and a link to the original thread, and we claim no ownership over them. Thread authors can request removal of their unrolled page as described in our Privacy Policy.

The service itself — its software, design, and branding — is our property. ThreadOut is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp.

6. AI summaries

TL;DR sections are generated by an AI model and labeled as such. They are a convenience, not a statement of fact by us, and may miss nuance or contain errors. Always rely on the thread itself, which is shown in full below the summary.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that any unrolled page is complete, accurate, or current, or that the service will be available without interruption.

8. Limitation of liability

The service is free of charge. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising out of or related to the service.

9. Suspension and removal

We may block traffic, remove unrolled pages, or restrict use of the service at our discretion — for example to stop abuse, comply with the law, or honor a removal request.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after the date at the top of this page constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
