Summary

A fitness enthusiast challenges others to the "RH workout," a daily routine of one set each of chinups, bench press, and deadlifts taken to failure, claiming it produces maximum strength gains in minimal time with proper recovery. The thread documents 10 days of progress, showing consistent strength improvements across all three lifts while maintaining the discipline of daily training.

I challenge you to the RH workout. Do chinups, bench, deadlifts 1 set every day. Post your numbers today, and every day in this thread for the next 30 days. I'll do the same. I'll post my top numbers from last week to start. LBS: 210 x 20 dead. 175 x7 bench. Because I'm going to failure, I can't always get the same numbers every day. For instance, today was 175 x 5 bench, 225 x 8 dead. I just do 5 negatives on chins cuz, fat. Jump up and fall down as slow as you can, or use bands to assist. I think lifting every single day is amazing, because I'm almost never sore, the workout takes 3 minutes, it's no sweat, literally. And the numbers go up as fast or faster than when I did 3x12 or 5x5 systems. Max gains, least time. Why does it work? Full body compound movements, pushing and pulling, trains stabilizing muscles and mind body connection. No 0 days. You always do something every day, so you never start the, this is the last time I work out for the next year phase, lol. No 0 days is a great strat for life in general. You only build muscle at rest after a stress impetus. The resting is what builds. This plan gives you the most nights of rest with something for the body to fix. And if you do the math on the tonnage you're moving, it's actually 7 sets a week to failure, which is a lot. You can swap bench for pushups or similar. I do chins first, then bench then dead. You should do the one you like least first. then alternate the remaining pushing or pulling exercises. You can swap in/out whatever you like, as long as your doing it every day, you'll progress. Let's see how much your numbers go up on the RH workout. P.S. I think going up to 12 reps max, then increasing weight, is the way to go, because lower weight is probably safer than higher weight. So anywhere from 5-12 reps is nice. P.P.S. I'm not a professional, you are entirely responsible for your own safety and results, good or bad.

day 2: lbs: bench: 175x6, dead: 230x10 I care less about how jacked you currently are, and more about how well the RH workout; which takes the minimum amount of time I can imagine, works for you. I care more about measuring the system's results for you. I already know it works great for me, and want to see if it works great for you too. I'm optimizing for strength gained per unit of time invested.

I won't bother posting my 5 negative chinups day after day. I'm doing em :) Also, creatine is cool ( I think it's worth 10% more strength basically.)

    day 3: bench 175x7. dead 230 x 11

  5. #5

4: same as day 3, and was hard to hold the bar towards the end of the dead. Maybe I should use straps? Or chalk?

day 5: a 0 day. day 4 I thought I'd give working out while sick a try. The workout was ok, but the being sick got worse. So hopefully tomorrow or the day after I'm back on it. :)

Day, uh, I'm just gonna say 6. 230 x 10 dead. 175 x 7 bench (felt strong thought I could get 8 but nope.) On the deads, could have done more, but didn't like how the right side was tapping before the left, so was fine with 10. I think I missed 3 days? I think I rather up the weight on the deads that feel like stalling out cuz grip. So I'll go up to 245 I guess.

day 7: 240x8 dead. 175x7 bench. neg chin 5. Reversed my over/under alternate grip and felt good. I should have been alternating left and right this whole time I bet. Symmetry is cool.

  9. #9

Day 8: 240x9 dead. 175x7 bench. neg chin 5. doing dead, bench then chin in that order, for pull, push, pull.

  10. #10

    Day 9: 240x10 dead. 175x8 bench, neg chin 5.

  11. #11

    Day 10: 240x11 dead, 175x7 bench, neg chin 5
