Summary

A Genshin Impact fan theory analyzes Skirk's character trailer as foreshadowing for Phanes resetting Teyvat, drawing parallels between the Nails of Retribution shown in the trailer and the sword absorption mechanics depicted in Skirk's teaser.

🧵 SKIRK'S TRAILER WAS FORESHADOWING TO HOW PHANES RESETS TEYVAT TO ITS ORIGINAL STATE 🧵

  2. #2

Skirk drops her sword, an allegory for the Nails of Retribution (when the sword is being formed it looks like the beams of light that can be seen ingame right now)

  3. #3

She drops the "Nail", which then absorbs everything around it turning the entire world into a black expanse, similarly to how the beams of light are absorbing all life in the version trailer (obviously a much slower process than in skirk's teaser)

  4. #4

Life is shown being reformed and "reset (back to its original state)", followed by Skirk standing in an empty field, referencing the blank slate of a world that has been erased and reset, compared to in the trailer as being similar to sweeping skyfire- "rebooting the world"
