This devil fruit had huge potential but is getting wasted on robin.

first of all, i wanna address that whatever that man is doing, nico robin has already done… killing fodder? done. killing LOTS of fodder? done. killing LOTS of fodder with giant constructs? DONE!!!

we also need to talk about how the hana hana no mi is more of an assassin combat style compared to fighting ones like luffy; robin typically always has the upper element of surprise since her power can sprout INSTANTLY. we see this when she is able to restrain cavendish / hakuba despite him being faster than the eye can see & reversing the tables on tashigi

despite this, robin still has very high power and can unleash devastating blows. examples include the following: - oneshotting black maria (ancient zoan) - oneshotting sommers (if not his covenant regeneration & immortality) - oneshotting moria and being the ONLY other strawhat than luffy to land a hit on him in TB (if not his ability to switch with his shadow) although not a power display, her “big tree” is able to restrain oars (a 67 meter giant) completely with only one arm

also, why does everyone forget that robin is one of the most useful members when it comes to using her ability for support. capture the jaya bird (MOST IMPORTANT WAY TO GET TO SKYPIEA BTW) ✅ save usopp ✅ propel brook to be able to use his attack ✅ give franky enough time to attach to something with wings (who would’ve thought of that???) ✅

save zoro from becoming the next kuina ✅ allow chopper to do his suplex move on hogback ✅ save the whole ship from dying in the start of fishman island ✅ robin’s devil fruit is clearly S+ in support

let’s also talk about the defensiveness of how robin uses her df. as we all know, robin deserves armament haki but oda has other plans - robin redirected diamante’s move away from rebecca - robin protects herself and precious ancient texts using calendula - robin protects rebecca by tanking diamante’s giant spike balls

lastly i want to mention robin’s IQ with her devil fruit. - robin reverses the dials on yama so they can inflict damage back to himself - robin uses little slaps to blind tararan and web himself - robin protects nami by shutting a pacifista’s mouth closed, effectively making it hurt itself

there are so many more examples i could provide but i will stop here for the sake of reading. nonetheless, i just want it to be known that although there’s MORE oda can do with her DF, nico robin has proved herself as one of the most versatile DF users in the game so its not “wasted” on her thank you for reading!
