2.5 weeks since we found little Espresso Martini poisoned and taking her last breaths. The progress has been very slow but some fairly positive news… (1/6) 🧵

We are now confident her broken rib came from frantic locals trying to give her CPR when she was frothing at the mouth. (2/6)

For 10 days she had no power in her body. The poison has done serious damage. At first she couldn’t lift her head (3/6)

For 10 days she couldn’t even lift her head. It’s been really sad to watch but with about 30 hours of exercises on her. Lots of medicines and plenty of rest we are seeing some progress (4/6)

You can see the power is coming back into her back legs and one of the front leg. One at the front is still completely lame though. This may not look like progress but this is a dog improving who wants to live and heal (5/6)

I’m not 100% sure she’ll ever be back to normal. But 2.5 weeks in we see huge progress. Patience is key. Hopefully more of the same washes all the bad stuff out of her system and we can give Espresso Martini a life (6/6)
