🔥 DOUBLE TAKEDOWN Florida’s Surgeon General just went head-to-head with Cuomo and Tapper after announcing Florida will END all VAX mandates. They came loaded with BIG PHARMA talking points. Ladapo BURNED them at the stake. And his final knockout left Tapper with NOTHING to say. He turned the moment into a masterclass on medical freedom. 🧵 THREAD

Happy warrior. Last Wednesday, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo made headlines after announcing that the state plans to eliminate all vaccine mandates. The reaction was instant and explosive. Big Pharma's media allies swarmed, attacking the plan and vilifying Ladapo. But instead of backing down, @FLSurgeonGen went on offense. Over the weekend, he appeared on national television...first with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation, then with Jake Tapper on CNN. He didn’t dodge. He defended every word, face to face. Cuomo came out swinging. Right from the top, he tried bait Ladapo into attacking President Trump. Cuomo: “So, Doc, you're not a politician, but let me hit you with the main optic of resistance to your policy recommendation, which would be the president of the United States, who said as gently as he could — ‘Be careful. Be careful about saying that certain people don't have to take vaccines. They work. They work well, they make a difference.’” “He does not seem in favor of what you're discussing. What's your reaction?” But Ladapo didn’t fall for it. He’s too shrewd for Cuomo’s games. “I didn't know that’s the first time I heard that the president said that,” he replied. “But, you know, I’m not trying to make any recommendations for President Trump. I’m simply, as I’ve been doing since my tenure here and years before then, just saying what I believe is right. So that's what I have to say.” He stuck to his message. This wasn’t about Trump, this was about the bigger picture. It was about principles.

That’s when Cuomo turned up the pressure, claiming Ladapo was an outlier, a kook in the medical world...out of step with his own community. “It does seem that the weight of your community is at odds with you, that not all vaccines are the same, and that a reason we have had advances or reductions, if you want to look at it conversely, that illnesses have disappeared in our society is in part because of vaccination.” “And if people don't have to take them, then they won't take them, and then we won't be as healthy a society. Your response?” Ladapo stood his ground and reframed the entire debate. He calmly explained to Cuomo that this decision is not about the science...it’s about rights of the parents vs. the government. “I would say that the reason that I made the statement…if you listen to the speech, I didn't say anything about any vaccines being effective or ineffective because it's not about that.” “During this job, I mostly had scientific discussions, but this one is actually more political because it is a philosophical discussion.” “The philosophical debate is about whether parents’ rights should prevail when it comes to the health of their children, or the government’s rights—should prevail.” He said there’s no question in his mind which side is correct. “I personally have ZERO doubt that the correct position, particularly for society that values freedom and wants to preserve freedom, is that parents MUST prevail.” Ladapo is thinking much bigger than just the science.

Then came the mic-drop moment, which Cuomo didn’t even see coming. It was epic. Cuomo tried accusing Ladapo of “demonizing” the government by handing back control over a child’s medical decision to the parents, rather than the state. But Ladapo turned the tables so effectively, in fact, that Cuomo accidentally made the very argument Ladapo had been making all along. Cuomo said: “Doc, you know, you don’t get to infringe on my rights by exercising your own. And it seems like here you’re making it ok by demonizing the state. You know, the less the ‘state’ has control over us, the better.” Lapado was about to use Cuomo’s own words to hang his entire narrative. He responded with laser focus. He knew he had Cuomo dead to rights. “It’s interesting what you just said, Mr. Cuomo, because you just talked about one party imposing on the rights of the other party.” “And, you know, if you listen to what you’re saying, you’re basically saying that this is a situation where the government gets to impose on the individual’s rights and preferences.” He continued, calmly but firmly. “I personally believe that that’s wrong, that the more freedom that we give people, particularly over their bodies—if you don’t have control over that in terms of what you put in your body, I mean, what’s the whole point?” “Literally your words are supporting the actual thing that you’re saying you’re against.” By the time Cuomo realized what just happened, it was too late. He had been flattened by the Surgeon General.

This was the EXACT moment where Cuomo realized what he had just done. It was over and he knew it.

Less than 48 hours later, Ladapo was back on national TV…this time on CNN with Jake Tapper. And right away, you could tell Tapper came loaded with talking points. He upheld a narrative that he was sticking to, and he was willing to go down with the ship. Lapado would eventually sink that ship and its captain. Tapper thought he’d catch Florida’s top doc off guard, but he was in for a long morning. Tapper’s first move was to attack Ladapo for failing to consider the consequences of lifting vaccine mandates. “So you’re trying to lift the vaccine mandate in Florida, and you didn’t even do a projection as to how this could impact public health?” “You have not prepared hospitals for outbreaks of measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough, polio… You haven’t looked into how many kids might now get these preventable diseases. That’s what you’re saying?” Ladapo didn’t let that slide for a second. He corrected him on the spot. “No, that’s what you said.” Then he brought the conversation back to what this debate is really about. “What I’m saying is that it’s an issue of right and wrong in terms of whether parents should have ultimate authority over what happens to their kids’ bodies.” He explained that Florida already knows how to handle outbreaks…and always has. “In terms of outbreaks, we do have outbreaks in Florida—just like every state—and we manage those. There are no new special procedures that need to be made. When we have outbreaks of different diseases, we manage them, just as always.” The homework had already been done on outbreaks.

The second clash came when Tapper tried again, now with the ‘everyone else disagrees with you’ card. “You’re making a decision that no other Surgeon General in the United States has done. It goes against what’s recommended by every top medical organization... So all of these people are wrong and you are right?” This was when Lapado showed Tapper what he was made of. He put on a masterclass in shutting down CNN’s vaccine narrative, and Tapper was left dead in the water. It was an incredible moment to watch happen live. The dam was breaking in real time. Lapado was perfectly comfortable standing in the fray against every one of those establishment organizations, he had done so before. “I share what I believe is the right thing to do, whether it is popular or not. I’ve been doing it for years.” He then laid out examples where he was right during Covid, and the medical establishment was WRONG. “I certainly did it during the Covid 19 pandemic. I thought that the lockdowns would be harmful. I said that as early as March 2020, after taking care of patients at UCLA hospital, some of whom had Covid.” Lapado wasn’t looking for collective agreement, this wasn’t a popularity contest. “You know, we as a state and I as an individual recommended against the mRNA Covid 19 vaccines for children, healthy children very early, two years ago or so, and that was the correct decision there.” “I’m not alone. It's just it just so happens that most of the people who, you know, have larger microphones tend to align with the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.” “But we’ve been right over and over again, because what we’ve said has been based on data and common sense.” He doubled down on the root of the issue. Everything else is just a sideshow. “In this particular area, this is really just about—it’s really about ethics. I mean, is it appropriate for a government or any other entity to dictate to you what you should, what you should put in your body?” “No, it's absolutely not appropriate. You have sovereignty over your body.”

In the final stretch, Tapper tried one last time to corner Ladapo, accusing Florida of making decisions without doing the homework. Tapper had been pushing this narrative it throughout the entire segment and Lapado had heard enough. It was time to punch back and Ladapo delivered his final knockout. “Again, this whole ‘Oh, Florida hasn’t done any analysis.’ That’s nonsense,” he said. Tapper tried to save face: “You said you hadn’t done any projections.” Ladapo was having NONE of it. “The way you’re portraying it is nonsense,” he shot back. “We don’t need to do any projections. We handle outbreaks all the time.” Then he made a critical point the media avoids: “There are countries that don’t have vaccine mandates and the sky isn’t falling over there.” And he connected it back to the bigger pattern...a coordinated campaign of fear. “This thing that you’re doing is a pattern we saw during the Covid-19 pandemic… ‘Oh my gosh, if people don’t wear masks, if people don’t take the mRNA vaccines, it’s a disaster.’ It’s a terrible strategy.” He ended with the same message he carried since the beginning. “The right position is that parents should control—absolutely—they should be the final say on what happens in terms of any vaccines… It’s very simple.” No panic. No backpedaling. Just a calm defense of medical freedom. Tapper knew the interview was over, because he had no follow-up. Ladapo had made his point…and millions would now hear it loud and clear.

And.....scene! Tapper had no bullets left in chamber.
