Summary
A thread arguing that America is fundamentally a Christian nation, citing founding documents invoking God, Christian demographics (62%), national symbols like 'In God We Trust' and 'under God', Christian federal holidays, and quotes from Founders. The author rebuts common counterarguments about secular founding principles, declining Christianity, later-added symbols, commercialized holidays, and deist Founders, while contextualizing the Treaty of Tripoli as diplomatic reassurance to Muslim states rather than a statement about domestic Christian character.
