🚨 EXC: I uncovered a midterm playbook labeled “CONFIDENTIAL” from a left-wing group run by Obama White House lawyers. Legal battles. Coordinated censorship. Mass mobilization. A progressive network is promoting it to state lawmakers—and its plans extend through the counting and certification of your votes.🧵

The group: Protect Democracy, co-founded by former Obama White House counsels Ian Bassin and Justin Florence. Its starting premise is that the administration intends to “Deceive,” “Disrupt” and “Deny.” Then come seven scenarios: intimidation, federal takeover attempts, ballot seizures, criminal investigations, counting interference, mass ballot challenges and certification disputes. For each, the guide lays out preparations and responses.

The plan reaches into GRAND JURIES. It describes educating community members to: “reject improper prosecutions when serving on grand juries” For investigations used to pressure unlawful compliance, it prescribes immediate framing as intimidation aimed at overturning an election.

The messaging is supposed to be ready BEFORE the confrontation. A highlighted reminder tells lawmakers to prepare before Election Day. The emergency-response section says: “when we fight feelings with facts, we lose.” It recommends framing the declaration as illegitimate.

Here is where the plan moves toward mass mobilization. For an attempted federal takeover of election administration, the guide describes a civil-society action plan ALREADY DEVELOPED: Pre-bunk emergency authority before it is invoked. Distribute coordinated voter messaging. And, “if necessary, mass peaceful mobilizations.”

Ballot seizures are treated as a political confrontation. “Make the escalation politically costly.” The guide urges public outrage and advance messaging against fraud claims used to justify seizures.

Prepare voters for a LONGER COUNT—before Election Day. The guide describes emergency legal teams, ballot-curing assistance and peaceful events supporting tabulation. It also urges waiting for clear results and conceding when settled.

REPUBLICAN officials are part of the messaging strategy. The guide recommends cultivating current and former Republicans to affirm the process or urge a losing candidate to concede. It also calls for accepting results regardless of the outcome.

The strategy even has a timetable. Ballot seizures: counting. Criminal investigations: counting and certification. Mass ballot challenges: ALL THREE election phases. The chart maps anticipated confrontations across voting, counting and certification. The planning runs well beyond the moment the polls close.
