I admittedly have a story outline for a 7 year love arc revolving around Draco Malfoid and Harry Potter. But I don’t want to post it because I don’t want to get made fun of.

🧵The Premise: Draco Malfoy is a girl who I named “Lyra” however she uses “Draco” as a nickname in public while only those close to her call her Lyra, this is an enemies to lovers story spanning all 7 books. I don’t have X Premium so sorry if it’s a bit long.

🧵Year 1 - Harry meets Lyra at Madam Milkins Robes, Harry wounds her pride after he picks Ron over her, beginning their rivalry and her obsession with him. - Unlike in canon, Lyra goes to the Midnight Duel to fight Harry and they end up discovering Fluffy to hide from Filch.

🧵Year 1 (Part 2) - The Forbidden Forest: Harry and Lyra are put together for detention like in canon, but when Voldemort attacks them after they find them drinking unicorn blood, Lyra tries to run but trips and Harry instinctively steps in-front of her to protect her.

🧵Year 1 (Part 3) - The Forbidden Forest plants the first seeds of doubt for her in the future as Lyra sees him defend her without hesitation - Snape sees this as a dark inversion of Lily and James Potter which motivates him to try and keep them apart, Dumbledore sees opportunity

🧵Year 2 - Flourish and Blotts is canon-adjacent, but she gets jealous when Ginny defends Harry. - Borgin and Burkes and Flourish and Blotts show the influence Lucius Malfoy has over his daughter.

🧵Year 2 (Part 2) -Lyra calls Hermione a Mudblood to gauge Harry’s reaction, and feels a flicker of regret that she’s too proud to show due to the forbidden forest. - She sees through Lockhart due to her family’s background with Dark Magic and because he’s a half-blood.

🧵Year 2 (Part 3) - Qudditch and the Dueling Club remain canon-adjacent, Lyra tries to humiliate Harry, only for Harry to speak Parselmouth and command the snake, causing cognitive dissonance for her.

Year 2🧵(Part 4) - When Harry and Ron infiltrate the Slytherin Common room using Polyjuice Potion - This is the first time Harry sees her with her guard down, and hears her real name Lyra, Also reveals her fear of Lucius even as she spews pureblood supremacism.

🧵Year 2 (Part 5) - Harry goes into the Chamber of Secrets to save Ginny, Tom Riddle reveals Ginny’s own jealousy over the attention Lyra had over Harry while being his enemy while she couldn’t even get his attention as Ron’s sister.

🧵Year 2 (Part 6) - Tom Riddle mocks Harry for caring about the “Malfoy Girl” who is destined to serve him, Harry denies caring about Malfoy while at the same time saying her destiny isn’t set in stone, proving Riddle’s point.

🧵Year 3 - When the dementors arrive on the train, Lyra is scarred because it feels like the coldness of her father and Malfoy Manor- Yet mocks Harry for fainting to hide her own fear which Harry sees through.

🧵Year 3 (Part 2) - The Buckbeak Incident remains mostly canon adjacent, however she approaches Buckbeak deliberately to get Harry’s attention and show she’s not a damsel in distress, but her pride and arrogance cause her to get hurt, Harry jumps infront of her to protect her.

🧵Year 3 (Part 3) - Lucius demands Buckbeak’s execution, Lyra feels guilt that she caused Buckbeak’s death due to her arrogance and obsession, even her attempts to torment Harry over her injury are undermined by her private guilt.

🧵Year 3 (Part 4) - During the Boggart Class, Lyra goes to the back of the line, not wanting Harry to see her greatest fear. - Harry uses the Maurader’s Map to search for Lyra alone, where they have a interaction and she admits that she never wanted “that stupid bird to die”

🧵Year 3 (Part 5) - After learning of her regret, it motivates him more to save Buckbeak to save Lyra from her own guilt - At the end of the year she learns Harry saved Buckbeak, she’s secretly thankful but never admits aloud.

🧵Year 4 - Lyra subtly warns Harry before the riots at the Qudditch World Cup, yet during the riot she is separated from her family, and she runs to Harry on instinct, she calls him “Harry” for the first time instead of Potter, but afterwards she reverts to public hostility.

🧵Year 4 (Part 2) - At Hogwarts, when the other schools are introduced, Harry catches himself thinking about Lyra when looking at Fleur Delacour - Lyra misreads this and gets jealous, deciding to use Viktor Krum to make Harry jealous - and it works.

🧵Year 4 (Part 3) - When Harry’s name is called from the Goblet of Fire, Lyra confronts him and accuses him of arrogance and cockiness to mask her fear for his safety, she makes the Potter Stinks badges to mask her fear further. - She still gets turned into a ferret

🧵Year 4 (Part 4) - First Task remains the same, but her outward composure during the first task and visibly relaxing when Harry survives causes suspicion from Ron and Hermione - Neville asks Harry about the “weird thing” going on between him and Lyra which he denied.

🧵Year 4 (Part 5) - Krum realizes Lyra is using him to make Harry jealous so he leaves her to ask Hermione to the Yule Ball. - Lyra secretly wanted Harry to ask her to the ball but she grew insecure hearing rumors Harry asked Cho Chang first, she asks Theodore Nott to take her.

🧵Year 4 (Part 6) - During the Yule Ball, they focused more at glancing at each other than their own partners, realizing they fell in love with each other. - They sneak away into the Rose Garden, where she rejects and pushes Harry away, fearing what would happen if anyone learnt

🧵Year 4 (Part 7) - The night before, Dumbledore and Snape realize Lyra is the one who his heart will miss, they still make Ron the hostage, however Snape keeps Lyra in her office so that Harry thinks that Lyra was his hostage. - The Second Task becomes more desperate for Harry

🧵Year 4 (Part 8) - Snape would scold them both in his office and tell them both that if they truly cared for one another, they’d stay away from each other. - Lyra then says to Harry holding back tears “See? I told you, we can’t be together.”

🧵Year 4 (Part 9) - Hermione asked Harry about his expression of confusion at the docks after the task, questioning whether someone else was supposed to be his hostage, he doesn’t tell her the truth. - Third Task remains canon-adjacent, but lands heavier on Lyra personally.
