THREAD: How to identify AI GENERATED COOKIE RUN FANART because I’m tired of seeing it everywhere Reposts for awareness…

Summary

A guide to identifying AI-generated Cookie Run fanart by looking for telltale signs like melting lines, shapeless blobs, inconsistent details, stiff poses, and the characteristic closed-eye expression AI frequently produces. The thread emphasizes that while these indicators aren't foolproof, checking an artist's profile for consistency and posting habits can help confirm whether art is AI-generated or authentic.

THREAD: How to identify AI GENERATED COOKIE RUN FANART because I’m tired of seeing it everywhere Reposts for awareness are appreciated! 🧵

  2. #2

I would like to start this thread by saying that, obviously, these tips aren’t foolproof. Artstyles differ and sometimes, real artists may take creative liberties. This can blur the line between machine and person

  3. #3

However, there are certain signs you should be watching out for. The point of this thread is to show you what these signs are so you can make an informed judgement before reposting or liking a tweet

  4. #4

1 - Melting/Incoherent lines AI is really bad at keeping things consistent, especially lines. If details blend into each other in nonsensical ways, that might be a sign of AI

  5. #5

2 - Blobs if an artist wants to draw, let’s say, a magical staff, they’ll go after pictures of magical staffs and draw something coherent If said magical staff just looks like a shapeless blob, that might also be a sign of ai

  6. #6

3 - Inconsistencies with the official cookie run art style AI might randomly add things like fingers, toes, noses and ears to cookies

  7. #7

Editor’s note: this may also just be a stylistic choice made by a real artist. Check for consistency: are these details present in all their pieces? Or do they just get added in randomly sometimes?

  8. #8

4 - Wrong or missing details Real artists use references, AI doesn’t. It just slaps a bunch of shit together. Compare the image to the real character and check for things missing without explanation

  9. #9

5 - THIS. SPECIFIC. EXPRESSION. So as it turns out, AI sucks at eyes. So, it’ll often give characters this particular “close-eyed” expression. This, to me, is the most telltale sign of all

  10. #10

6 - Stiff/awkward movement Notice how pitaya barely moves here and doesn’t react to anything hollyberry says. Most artists would not draw something like this, because it makes the scene feel stiff. AI, however, doesn’t know what human interactions look like

  11. #11

(And even if someone did want to just draw pitaya doing the same pose in every panel, they wouldn’t draw them five individual times, they’d probably just draw them once and then copy paste it)

  12. #12

7 - just because you can see the brushstrokes, doesn’t mean it’s not AI generated A LOT of people trace over AI in an attempt to pass it off as real art. Check for linework quality and coherent details.

  13. #13

8 - Drastic art style differences Of course, artists may have multiple art styles simultaneously (I’m guilty as charged). But if you see someone jumping from chibi, to realism, to anime, back to chibi CONSTANTLY, then uh-oh These are all from the same account:

Final notes: The easiest way to tell if someone is posting AI slop is to check their profile. Is their art style somewhat consistent? Do they post WIPs? How often do they post? This thread is not a personal attack on anyone. It’s only meant to be informative

  15. #15

I’m an artist myself, and I follow and interact with many people who are also artists. It is not right that our work gets put through these programs and stolen so blatantly like this

  16. #16

Art is a skill. It takes time to develop. If you are not willing to put in the time and effort into developing that skill, then don’t make art. Nobody is entitled to other people’s hard work

  17. #17

If you want to draw so bad, then learn how to. Pick up a pencil and learn how to draw. That’s what we all did It doesn’t matter if you’re bad at it. Everyone is bad at it at some point. What matters is that you’re willing to try something new

  18. #18

Most of these images came from two accounts on here, both of which I have blocked. I will reveal both of them so you guys can block them as well, if you want to

  19. #19

However, I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT GO HARASS THESE PEOPLE. I’m serious. I’m only sharing their usernames so you guys don’t accidentally repost their stuff without knowing it’s AI. Anyone who goes into their comments and harasses them WILL BE BLOCKED.

  20. #20

That was the end of the thread! If you guys have any questions, let me know. I made this because I think it’s really scummy to lie to people and pretend AI generated content is man-made Timely Hollysugar out
