vampirism heightens every aspect of secondary gender, like your scent & sense of smell, but they also have singer/soulmate bonds that are a different level than human bonds, mating bites being more intense with the blood euphoria, etc. major diff is they still can’t get pregnant

heats/ruts happen every few months, but are more intense if you haven’t fed. venom works as magic everything i guess lmao…it is their every fluid, slick/etc👀 if u follow. but using your venom during a mating bite is like an eternal bond, if the person lives/turns

secgen discrimination is on-par with primary gender in terms of social/political evolution/understanding, so in the early 2000s it wouldn’t be *crazy* for Carlisle to be open about being an omega, but for a long time he couldn’t have been a doctor or professor etc

the cullen coven/pack is ofc based on their “vegetarianism”, carlisle & esme are def the pack leaders even tho they’re both omegas—the rest of them i could really see sooo many variations on, but ig id say this: a!emmett, b!rose, a!alice, o!jasper, b!edward

omega!Carlisle has been on blockers/suppressants for like, literally a century😵‍💫 and has a terrible heat like every few years maybe. alpha!Aro got him thru the years with the volturi, but it wasn’t at all what carlisle needed, and he hasn’t been with anyone since

maybe even a Carlisle who—kind of like how his unofficial superpower is his restraint—has crazy restraint and also has blocked his scent for so long or is able to block it so well that humans can’t even smell him, only other vampires can

maybe he lets Esme occasionally help with his heats comfort-wise, but then she ends up with alpha!Tanya (in my gay utopia world anyway🌈❤️) and Carlisle won’t be with a vamp who drinks human blood & humans who know he’s a vamp are usually weird chasers

enter alpha!Charlie—his scent& blood are irresistible to Carlisle, it’s clearly a singer/soulmate bond, but Charlie doesn’t know that…to him though, Carlisle’s scent is SUPER strong. he doesn’t say anything ofc, just assumes the hot doctor smells like that to everyone

but Charlie starts seeing the new doctor & they’re going over his prescriptions, Carlisle is like “it says you’ve been taking this suppressant for *years*, idk about prescribing this amount…though, I admit, I wondered why your scent was so strong when you walked in”

Charlie is like “uh…no I’m on ‘em, I just need the script filled again soon” and Carlisle internally freaks out… he asks why Charlie wants to take them though, and he grumbles that “it’s too much of a distraction at work/in life, just easier this way”

Carlisle writes him the script but says they should talk about tapering him off, that he personally knows how long term blockers can be dangerous. Charlie asks “…so you don’t take them at all anymore? good for you, doc” and Carlisle freezes

Charlie can *smell him*???? Charlie, a human, an alpha, can smell him, knows what he is?? he runs to ask the rest of the coven if his scent blockers have been failing, they all say “nope you smell the same as you have since 1937” and he’s like🫪🫪

meanwhile Charlie’s sitting at home with a beer going absolutely crazy over the bit of scent lingering on his coat from where the doctor’s hand touched his elbow. he’s quietly impressed at Carlisle being so open with his presentation (doesn’t know only he can smell him😭)
