Peter Cullen was one of my childhood heroes. Someone who's voice I heard every weekend watching Saturday morning cartoons. They say never to meet your heroes. Well I met Peter, and was fortunate to work with him for years. He exceeded every preconceived notion I had of him. He was a funny, massively talented, kind, gentle soul, and I'm lucky to have called him friend (and Optimus) Rest easy, Peter. We'll miss you ❤️

Saddened by the passing of Peter Cullen, the 'voice' of Optimus Prime (and many more). I last met Peter at Botcon 2012, and - as ever - he was charming, engaging and wonderfully larger-than-life. His voice lives on in my head every time I write lines of dialog for Optimus. RIP.

Heartbroken to hear about the passing of Peter Cullen. Peter was a huge part of my childhood. His voice as Optimus Prime was the reason I fell in love with Transformers as a kid, and that love and inspiration has stayed with me my entire life. He didn’t just give Optimus a voice, he gave him heart. Through Optimus, Peter taught generations of kids what it meant to be strong, honorable, compassionate, and courageous. His incredible voice carried a sense of warmth and humanity that made Optimus feel like more than a character. He felt like a hero you could truly believe in. One of Peter’s most meaningful lessons was simple: “Be strong enough to be gentle.” Thank you, Peter, for inspiring my imagination as a kid and for giving us a hero who became such an important part of so many of our lives. Your voice and legacy will live on forever. Rest in peace, Peter Cullen. Till all are one. ❤️💙
