🧵 of things I noticed women doing growing up to make themselves feel pretty/look more fem that might be of use to trans women

Skirt/jean position MATTERS when creating curves, women tend to wear their waistbands ABOVE their hips, like nearly belly button level (unless it’s a low rise or v short skirt), this helps the look of a shorter torso and a smaller waist/bigger hips.

Bra type really makes a big difference, most sports bras will compress your breasts, at least when I was wearing bras, most women would wear an underwire bra, this helps the boobs look perkier and gives cleavage, and loads of smaller-chested women wear push ups.

In terms of hair, a high ponytail or a bun are used if hair isn’t co-operating that day, I recommend learning a few different hairstyles, back when I had long hair I could go from looking like a founding father to a lovely woman by moving my ponytail up or down lol

On the topic of hair, learn what hairstyles work for you, if you have curly/coily/wavy hair, learning to care for your curls will make a world of a difference, most girls I know with curly hair have a routine they swear by and they always look jaw-dropping.

Women’s cut shirts are different to men’s cut, the women’s almost always have shorter sleeves, are tighter, and curve at the middle, obv this is dysphoria-dependent, but baggy tees will almost always look more tomboy-y than well-fitted ones

Get a signature necklace, rings, bracelet, whatever, adding jewellery to an outfit gives it a little extra pizzaz. Earrings are also another big one, you can get clip/stick-ons now which are very pretty and still elevate a look

In terms of makeup, my best advice is to not follow the beauty influencers, instead, find products one at a time that really suit you, and build looks from there. A signature lip color (usually a neutral/pink) is pretty common. Also, eyeliner is never gonna be even.

Perfumes are another fun one, most girls have a few fragrances that they rotate between or a signature scent, try a bunch and figure out which ones suit your vibe!
