I’ve been offline a few days because one of the greatest muralists and painters of this century (my friend of more than 20 years) lost his life to the battle with mental illness this week. Ezra Berger painted the cover of my upcoming book about the Epstein survivors fight for transparency, The Illusion Machine. The last time we talked about it (last week) he told me he was “honored” to have his name beside mine. 🧵

2/ The truth is, the honor was mine. Ezra was one of the most talented artists of our time. I’m going to need a minute. The book release will move to the end of August because grief like this doesn’t fit between deadlines. But it will not be delayed beyond that. Ezra wouldn’t have let me. He was one of the loudest voices telling me to stop waiting and put it into the world. These paintings are his original works, they cannot be duplicated, printed or used in anyway without sole permission.

3/ To everyone who has been walking this road with me—the fight for truth, transparency, and the survivors who have waited so long to be heard—I’m still here. I’m just carrying something unimaginably heavy today. The loss of a 20 year friendship and an amazingly talented man. Art by Ezra Berger. Not to be replicated, printed or reused without permission.

4/ When The Illusion Machine is finally in your hands, Ezra’s art will be there too. His name will be there next to mine. And so will a piece of one of the best people and greatest artists I’ve ever known. 💔 Thank you for being here.

Original Ezra Berger oil painting on canvas, from my personal collection. This will forever be my favorite. This was my first Ezra original, and that’s him on the ladder. Please note. It is illegal to copy, use or reproduce this work.
