here's a thread of things that might help if u wanna get your art out there 🧵

i do wanna say don't let the likes or followers get to you, just be yourself, don't mask yourself under a persona, instead put personality into what you post also just draw what you want, don't let engagement decide for you, even if suggestive art gets you attention

1. make ur captions simple describe what u drew in just a few words, make a silly or funny comment on it

2. put extra info anywhere but in the caption if you wanna give a link somewhere, put it in the comments or embed it in the image itself

3. crop out any empty space make the subject obvious, easy to see don't make the picture too tall, or too wide square aspect ratios makes the whole image bigger in general, it's a good sweet spot

4. make sure that whatever you're posting is easy to look at, read and understand don't add too much text or watermarks in your drawing if you need text, make it big enough to read from far away

5. post at a time where most people are online take a moment to research the best times in the day to post i personally proritise american timezones, my american friends are usually awake at around 7pm or later in my timezone

things that might harm the reach of your drawings: - hashtags in the caption (sometimes 2 or less is fine) - multiple pictures in one post - @/mentions of people - links in the caption - long videos

and lastly don't treat things too seriously, you don't need to think too much into it. relax instead of giving a desperate impression. just go with what works anyway thanku for reading !!!

people are saying that i'm blaming y'all for the algorithm but it's literally never your fault. these are just tips, not always guaranteed to work but imo, the way it's presented affects a lot, much like how colourful things attract people
