🧵NDA 78RC portal opens today. Before you waste N7,000 and 5 years of your life, let me drop some hard truth nobody in uniform will tell you on open day: (1) Starting pay as a newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenant? Less than ₦180k/month (after tax & deductions, you’ll see ~₦140-150k). Your cousin driving Bolt on weekends is clearing more. A corper in Lagos is almost making same with you. (2) You’ll be posted to Sambisa or Zamfara forest with equipment from 1960. Bullet proof vest? You’ll share one per section. Your mates in tech are buying land in Epe, you’ll be praying the next ambush isn’t yours. (3) 5 years of no girlfriend (they ban relationships in Kaduna), no beards, no phone for months, 4am drills, senior officers treating you like trash… Then you pass out and they post you to Maiduguri to go and be collecting ₦1,500 ā€œwelfareā€ while risking your life daily. If you can push that same energy into tech, Canada/US visa, in 5 years you’ll be living the life these generals only dream of. The military is a trap for brilliant poor boys. Don’t let patriotism finish you while our politicians who you’re way smarter than live like kings.šŸ—£ļøšŸ™

This is America’s response to the attack on 2 National guards. šŸ˜šŸ’”But when ISWAP/Boko paraded videos of Gen. Musa Uba's brutal execution, our cowards in khaki DENIED it for days; Hiding behind lies to save face! No rescue op, no justice, just silence that screams betrayal. That man’s blood will continue to be on your hands, not the battlefield. When will we stop sacrificing our best for APC govt’s incompetence?

Our politicians love Nigeria the way landlords love tenants who pay rent in dollars but live in London. They sing the national anthem with passion… at events abroad. They pledge allegiance… to their offshore accounts. Patriotism na only for campaign poster. When bullet fly, their children dey Harvard, your children dey dodge stray bullets. When e reach time to dĆe for country na poor man turn to join NDA. God dey watch una in 8K. Miss me with all the ā€œpatriotismā€ gaslighting.

šŸ‡³šŸ‡¬šŸ–¤ If your heart is calling you to serve this uniform, I will NEVER stand in your way. In fact, I will clear the road for you. You want to apply for NDA 78RC? Drop your name in my DM right now. I will personally pay your ₦7,000 form fee. I will send you transport money to the exam centre; no matter the state. I will even add feeding money so hunger doesn’t distract you while you write the exam. Because some of us are complaining from the comfort of AC offices, but YOU are ready to stand in the sun, in the rain, in Sambisa, in Zamfara, where bullets don’t send warnings. To every soldier, airman, sailor already wearing this uniform while some of us are typing threads: I owe you my freedom to type this. I owe you the peace to sleep at night. Some of you have carried your wounded brother on your back while bleeding yourself. Some of you have buried friends you finished NDA with just last year. Some of you haven’t seen your children in 2 years because you’re holding the line in the North-East. From the depth of my heart; THANK YOU. Your sacrifice is not small. Your pain is not invisible. Even when the country forgets, I will never forget. So if you’re that young man or woman burning with fire to fix this military from inside, If you believe you can be part of the generation that changes everything, Come. The door is open. I’ll pay your way in. Just say the word in my DM. Nigeria will rise again; but only if brave people like you still answer the call. God bless every Nigerian in uniform. God bless every Nigerian willing to wear it tomorrow. šŸ‡³šŸ‡¬ā¤ļø (Drop your name if you need the form fee covered. I’m dead serious.)
