Summary

A researcher created a spreadsheet of 12,000+ federal awards to organizations involved in immigration, community organizing, unions, and Hispanic/Palestine-focused nonprofits, matched to their tax IDs for financial traceability, as a starting point for investigating potential links to anti-ICE protest organizing.

🚨📊 NEW SPREADSHEET DROP: CANDIDATE FEDERAL AWARDS BEHIND THE CHAOS 📊🚨 🧵 Spreadsheet below 👇 After nights of riots and agitation linked to anti-ICE and pro-illegal immigration activism, I took a different approach to follow the money: 🔍 Instead of tracing organizer money to federal money, I decided to start at the top: the federal budget. 📁 Using AI + USASpending database, I identified 12,000+ active federal awards for one or the more of the following criteria: 🔹 Immigration-related programs 🔹 Community organizing ops 🔹 Union-aligned groups (esp. SEIU, teachers’ unions) 🔹 Hispanic- and Palestine-focused nonprofits 🔹 Programs still active — i.e., defund-able if Congress acts now I matched nearly every award to an EIN (tax ID) — making it traceable to the actual organization behind it and get their financials. (Note, not all EINs have an associated nonprofit and may not have public financials). IMPORTANT NOTE: The awards' links to the organizers behind the protests have not been verified. But it is a starting point for researchers who are eager to trace the connections and EINs. 📎 Spreadsheet download link below 👇
