2. This is a 3,400 year old Ancient Egyptian painting palette with its colors still preserved

3. A mummy coffin, sealed for over 2,500 years, discovered in October 2020

4. This is a 3000-year-old Egyptian statue of a woman carved out of limestone during the New Kingdom Period. It is currently housed in the Field Museum, Chicago, USA.

5. The Sabu disk is an ancient Egyptian artifact from the First Dynasty, c. 3000 to 2800 BC. It was discovered in 1936 in the northern part of the Saqqara necropolis. The function and meaning of the stone vessel, with its astonishingly modern design, are yet to be understood.

6. A stele from the sunken ancient Egyptian city of Heracleion recovered from the bottom of the ocean. It bears a royal decree from 380 BC by Nectanebo I, founder of the last native dynasty of Egypt, the 30th.

7. An Egyptian amethyst cat amulet from the Late Period to the Ptolemaic Period, 664–30 BC.

8. This is a 3200-year old attendance sheet found in Deir el-Medina, Egypt. Reasons for workers being absent include "brewing beer", "embalming brother", "drinking with Khonsu" and "bitten by a scorpion".

11. The dagger buried with Tutankhamun is not of this world... its blade is made from meteorite iron. Researchers used X-ray fluorescence spectrometry to confirm the metal's extraterrestrial origins. This discovery adds a fascinating cosmic element to the pharaoh's legacy.

14. This is a close-up of the Red Granite Sarcophagus of king Senusret II from the burial Chamber of his Pyramid at El Lahun. It could be one of the most meticulously crafted in all of Egypt, estimated to be around 4,000 years old.

16. This 3,000-year-old tomb was found in Minya, Egypt. Online users pointed out that the tomb's upper lid eerily resembles Marge Simpson. The painted coffin, which belonged to a woman named Tadi Ist, shows a figure with yellow skin, a blue crown, and a green outfit.

17. Tutankhamun's fingers and toes were capped with gold finger and toe stalls. His feet were adorned with gold foil footwear, and while the exact number of sandals is unclear, at least 80 samples were discovered in his tomb.

19. Mummified hand of a 19th Dynasty ancient Egyptian princess. Her nails were painted red with henna. The oldest recorded use of henna can be found in ancient Egypt dating back to 3500 BC.

20. The Saqqara Bird is a wooden bird model, made of sycamore, found during the 1898 excavation of Pa-di-Imen's tomb in Saqqara, Egypt. It is believed to date to around 200 BC. Today, the artifact is part of the collection at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

This ancient masterpiece, reassembled from about 7,000 beads, was found in a burial of a female contemporary of King Khufu. Though the string had disintegrated, some beads remained in place, allowing an accurate reconstruction.
