Look at what Iran has been hitting since Feb. 28: radar systems, SATCOM terminals, tankers, and now an AWACS. That's not random. It's a systematic attack on the infrastructure that makes U.S. air po...

SummaryIran has conducted a systematic asymmetric counter-air campaign since February 28, targeting radar systems, SATCOM terminals, tankers, and AWACS aircraft at U.S. bases across the Middle East. By attacking the logistics and command infrastructure that enables U.S. air operations—rather than engaging aircraft directly—Iran is exploiting vulnerabilities in aging American assets like the limited E-3 Sentry fleet and Cold War-era KC-135 tankers.Mar 28, 20266 tweets♥ 8.3KKelly Grieco@ka_grieco

Iran damaged a U.S. E-3 Sentry AWACS at Prince Sultan Air Base yesterday. The USAF has 16 left, nearly 40% are already in theater, and there's no production line to replace them. This is one of the mo...

SummaryIran damaged a U.S. E-3 Sentry AWACS aircraft at Prince Sultan Air Base, representing a strategically significant loss since the Air Force has only 16 of these irreplaceable command and control aircraft, with no production line to replace them and the successor E-7 Wedgetail not expected until 2028 at earliest. The E-3 is critical for managing air operations across the entire theater, and its loss exacerbates existing vulnerabilities created by damage to ground-based radar systems.Mar 28, 20266 tweets♥ 5.9K
