SummaryA student's 3-year-old laptop was dramatically improved from 4-minute boot times and constant freezing to 20-second boots by changing 8 free settings: disabling startup programs, Chrome background apps, Windows visual effects, enabling Storage Sense, limiting search indexing, switching to High Performance power plan, throttling OneDrive sync, and optimizing drives. No hardware upgrades or purchases were needed.Sep 17, 202610 tweets♥ 5.6K
